Cargiant’s favourite Crossovers and Small SUVs

| In Buying Guides

SUVs are continually growing in popularity and the majority of brands have at least one in their model ranges. Crossovers are the smallest SUVs available and tend to be based on a traditional hatchback, but with a raised driving position.

This post will guide you through Cargiant’s favourite Crossovers and Small SUVs.

Audi Q3

The Audi Q3 combines the excellent build quality you’d expect from an Audi vehicle with a range of powerful yet efficient engines. The Q3 is available with a choice of TFSi petrol engines and TDi diesel units, a six-speed manual or seven-speed s-tronic automatic gearbox and two or four-wheel drive. As a premium brand, the Q3 comes very well equipped, with the majority of models featuring parking sensors, partial or full leather interiors, cruise control and satellite navigation.

Range Rover Evoque

The smallest model in the Range Rover range, the Evoque is next up our list. Just as like with the Audi Q3, the Evoque is available with either petrol or diesel engines, manual or automatic transmissions and two or four-wheel drive. The most popular Evoque’s feature a 2.0-litre or 2.2-litre diesel engine with automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive. Inside, the cabin is spacious and can seat five with ease and comfort. The vast majority of Evoque’s feature a leather interior, satellite navigation, parking sensors and at least 18” alloy wheels.

Peugeot 2008

The Peugeot 2008 is available with a choice of either a 1.2-litre PureTech or standard 1.6 petrol engine or 1.6 BlueHdi or e-Hdi diesel unit, both capable of well in excess of 50mpg. The 2008 can be found with a manual or automatic gearbox. All models above the basic Access and Access+ specifications feature a touch screen display, air conditioning, Bluetooth, alloy wheels and cruise control. Satellite navigation, a leather interior, larger alloy wheels and a panoramic roof are available higher up through the range.

Nissan Juke

The unique styling of the Nissan Juke made it an instant hit after its launch back in 2010. Just like its bigger sibling, the Qashqai, the Juke is very generously equipped. A touch screen display, satellite navigation, parking sensors, climate control, cruise control and Bluetooth are standard on nearly all specifications. A leather interior, heated seats and a panoramic roof can be found on the higher spec models. The Juke is available with either a 1.2 or 1.6-litre petrol engine capable of well in excess of 40mpg and 1.5-litre diesel unit capable of over 70mpg.

BMW X1

The final vehicle on our list is the premium BMW X1. Based on the 2 Series Tourer, the X1 is available with either 2.0-litre petrol or diesel engines, producing at least 44 and 56mpg respectively. Two and four-wheel drive options are also available. The majority of models feature satellite navigation, parking sensors, Bluetooth, leather interior and climate control.
