We’ve made the process of collecting your car as easy and exciting as possible.
Giving You Peace of Mind

The Cargiant Team are dedicated to giving you a great driveway experience. Before you arrive to collect your car, we’ll carry out a final pre-delivery inspection, giving you that added peace of mind before you drive away in your new car.

Our team will do everything they can to make sure that at every point in your car buying experience we are offering you transparent information about your choice of car, professional and friendly advice and a swift and efficient service.

Cargiant Collection Centre

To keep your waiting time to a minimum, you’ll be allocated a collections appointment to pick up and collect your new car. We ask that you allocate an hour in your diary for this appointment so that we can ensure all the documentation has been completed and that you can safely drive away happy.

What to expect at your Car Collections Appointment

Your Documentation

On the day of your collections appointment you’ll need to come prepared with all your documentation otherwise we can’t transfer the car into your name. See below as to what to bring with you.

Your Collection Appointment

At the time of your appointment head to our collection Centre just behind Sales Area A. We’ll aim to serve you in no more than 10 minutes, but please do allow an hour to finalise your car purchase.

Transferring Ownership

Transferring ownership to you is the most important part. We’ll give you all the relevant documents including your V5 (log book), service history, MOT certificate (where required). We’ll complete all documents quickly and efficiently.

Driveway Happy

Once you have settled your outstanding balance we’ll hand you the keys so you can drive away happy in your new car. At Cargiant, it’s as simple as that.

Important Information on Collecting My Car

Your ID

Please remember to bring the following documents with you. Without them we won’t be able to transfer the car and release the vehicle to you:

  • Your valid UK photo driving licence or your current passport
  • Two documents proving your current address dated within the last 3 months, for example a bank statement, council tax statement or any other utility bill.

Please Note: We do not accept mobile phone bills as proof of address.

Drive away Insurance

With so much to sort out when you are buying a car, it’s great to know that you don’t need to worry about arranging insurance pre your visit. We partner with Tempcover* who can give you 5 days cover for a small fee, leaving you time to make your own arrangements.

 Tempcover is a trusted provider in the industry so all you have to think about is driving your new car home.

*acceptance is subject to meeting  Tempcover's criteria.

Payment and Finance

All the prices on our cars are fixed plus a £199 Admin Fee* so there is never any embarrassing haggling and you'll have the peace of mind you are getting the best deal.

When you are ready to purchase you can pay by:

  • Pre-Arranged Car Finance
  • UK issued Debit Cards
  •  UK Bank Drafts: (Payable to Cargiant Ltd)
  • Cash Payment up to £8,000**

Unfortunately, we cannot accept Building Society Cheques or credit card payments towards the purchase of your car. However, credit cards are accepted for additional products i.e. Mechanical Breakdown Warranty and Supagard Vehicle Protection System.

*£199 Admin Fee charges may vary depending on your personal circumstances. For more information visit our FAQs or T&Cs** Cash payments between £1,000 and £8,000 incur a 1% handling charge. We don’t accept cash over £8,000, credit cards, charge cards, personal cheques, company cheques & building society cheques. An Admin Fee of £199* is added at the time of purchase on top of the car's price to cover the documentation and administration costs. Your statutory rights are not affected.
